Where to Stay & What to Do
We love hosting families from all over the world for Therapy Intensives. Here's some info to help with making your visit to Calgary as enjoyable, economical and stress-fee as possible.
Attractions
Canadian Centre for Development is located in central Calgary (just 10 minute drive south from downtown) and is within walking or short driving distance from many attractions. Attractions within walking distance: Chinook Mall is Calgary's largest mall and is a 10 minute walk from the clinic. It has many stores, a bowling alley, food court, and movie theatre. Other establishments that surround the clinic are Community Natural Foods (grocery store), many restaurants, including Prairie Dog Brewing (we highly recommend them!) and Oriental Phoenix, and a small playground called Manchester Insect Playground (1A St & 57 Ave SW). Within short driving distance or via LRT (light rail train): The clinic is located just 1 block from Chinook LRT station, putting the entire city at our families' finger tips.
Some attractions that families can access with the LRT are: many parks, downtown, and the Calgary Zoo. There are many airbnbs available for rent in the surrounding residential area.
