About Us
Canadian Centre for Development (formerly SMILE Therapy for Kids) is a Calgary multi-disciplinary centre that offers pediatric physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, massage and other services.
We are dedicated to serving children with developmental delays (from mild to severe), disabilities, and those that are neuro-diverse. We excel in doing this through the expertise of our team, as well as the many different specialized modalities and pieces of equipment that are available for clients' and therapists' use, so as to make every treatment sessions as effective and successful as possible.
We have a variety of different models through which we can serve children, including through Therapy Intensives and FSCD contracts.

We are here to maximize your child's time with us by making it as productive as possible. From our hands-on approach, to a wide range of specialized equipment and tools (like the only publically-available Trexo Robot in Western Canada!), we're dedicated to progressing your child's developmental journey as quickly as possible.

We're founded by a parent of a child with a neuromotor disability, which has led to every part of our operations having the comfort and need of the parent and child in mind. "We get it! We're not just a 'clinic'. Our state-of-the art facility encompasses a sensory room, a family lounge, and many other ways to help families feel at home."

We offer the highly-effective Therapy Intensive model. It's a great way to accelerate your developmentally delayed child's progress in a fun, high-energy, and efficient way.

We provide an interdisciplinary and holistic approach, where collaboration between our clinicians is what leads to ultimate results. A team of pediatric physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, massage therapists, and others will ensure that your child's developmental journey is optimized.

Being family-centric means that our services are convenient and easy to coordinate around parents' busy work and school schedules. Between the ease of booking online to being able to provide a great deal of availability among our large team of clinicians, including into the early evenings and Saturdays, we've got your family's needs covered.
